Gem City Chorus
 

Gem City Chorus (founded 1970) is a member of Sweet Adelines International, a non-profit organization of women who sing barbershop harmony. In their 40 year history, the Gem City Chorus has competed at the international level fourteen times, won the World Competition five times and always finished in the top ten. They have competed against teams from throughout the United States, Sweden, Japan, Australia, and lent luster to the musical reputation of the Dayton region with their enormous success. The group of more than 120 women, from all walks of life, sings four-part harmony, and their repertoire includes songs from Broadway musicals to Dixieland, ballads, gospel, rhythm songs, old time favorites and songs from the Big Band era.–Inducted: 2010
