The University of Dayton Men's Basketball Program

The University of Dayton Men's Basketball Program (1903-) is one of the most successful college basketball teams, on and off the court, in NCAA history. On the court, the Flyers are one of a handful of teams to have 1,500 wins. UD has reached the post-season 41 times, including 15 trips to the NCAA tournament. In the NCAA tournament, Dayton has reached the "Sweet Sixteen" seven times, the "Elite 8" three times, and NCAA championship game once. In the NIT, the Flyers won the tournament championship three times, and reached the finals eight times. In the classroom, UD is consistently one of the top programs in the nation in graduation rates. In the community, the FLyers are the inspiration for one of the best fan bases in college basketball. That's a tradition that began when Dayton made its first trip to Madison Square Garden, and was showcased in the national media in 2014 when UD made an exciting run to the "Elite 8." –Inducted: 2014
